I am a freelance feature writer based in Cambridgeshire. I cover parenting, culture, trends, fashion, the internet, mental health, social affairs, current affairs, and personal finance.
Formerly a staff feature writer for The Independent and the i paper, I continue to write freelance for both papers. I also write magazine features, news features, and opinion pieces for The Guardian, The Observer, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, British Vogue, and Femail, among others.
I have been shortlisted twice for "Best Feature" at the Freelance Journalism Awards: in 2023, for my Guardian article on having a baby just as my twin sister miscarried and in 2024 for my Observer article on the wacky world of bespoke baby names.
I have radio and TV experience, with multiple appearances on Woman's Hour; appearances on This Morning and Sky News; and an appearance on the Choiceology podcast talking about my Guardian article on "streaks".
I have also written a number of celebrity interviews, including with David Attenborough, Fearne Cotton, David Tennant, and Nick Grimshaw.
Please do contact me via my website with any queries or commissions.
